HILL WALKING

If you’re visiting midweek there are a number of groups from whom you’ll receive a warm welcome to join them as they set off from Clun on guided walks around the locality.

Offa’s Dyke

This incredible 177 mile trail starts on the River Severn Estuary in Gloucestershire in England before taking you over the border into Wales and on through some truly splendid mountainous scenery.

For more information on this trail please visit the National Trail web site

Shropshire Way

This walk takes you through some of the most beautiful countryside in Shropshire. You will visit Shrewsbury, Clun (with its ruined castle), Ludlow, Clee Hills, Wenlock Edge, Ironbridge and The Wrekin, where there are some truly spectacular views of this splendid county.

Kerry Ridgeway

This is an exceptionally beautiful walk or cycle through Powys and then into Shropshire.
The route runs along a ridge top overlooking Wales on the one side and England on the other with spectacular views for the duration of the ride.

There are many trails to walk and routes to cycle – Rolling Hills Holidays is only 200m from Offa’s Dyke path, and from the ‘Shropshire Way’ and the ‘Kerry Ridgeway’ is only a short distance away too, and not forgetting Carding Mill Valley with access to The Long Mynd.
